Wine tasting and regional lunch

Spend a very special day in the Hemel en Aarde valley, taste award winning wines and savor an incredible lunch created by the chef using local ingredients.

En route to lunch you will visit 2 wine farms which make exceptional wines. You will taste their wines and enjoy their unique locations.

Thereafter you will have lunch at The Restaurant at Newton Johnson, which has spectacular views of the mountains and vineyards leading down to the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Ricky Broekhoven is an incredibly talented and dynamic young chef. He is very much a child of the area and uses ingredients sourced from the greater Hermanus district. He particularly likes using foraged ingredients especially mushrooms, indigenous herbs and things from the sea. The menus change seasonally and are always a refreshing surprise. The multilayered dishes are complimented by the estate’s lovely wines.
